COME CHECK OUT ACCLAIMED BEDFORD-BASED ARTIST JEFFREY TERRESON'S WORK ON MAY 3RD, FROM 4-8PM!
Help us celebrate the launching of an exhibit featuring acclaimed
Bedford-based artist Jeffrey Terreson’s (www.jterreson.com) original oils and mixed media
paintings. His work has appeared in the country’s top galleries, where his
Neo-Impressionist paintings have earned him national and international renown. To
celebrate the launch of this show featuring works for sale, we’ll be hosting a
wine and cheese reception to meet the artist.
“We are
thrilled to have the opportunity to offer this rotating gallery of Jeffrey Terreson’s
work,” says Bellava’s owner Erica Breining. “His neo-impressionist paintings
are quite stunning and really enhance the luxurious, tranquil setting we
strive to create at the spa.”
Terreson’s work
is a contemporary painting style that has an interpretive approach and embraces
the textures of both new and traditional media. He is renowned for his interpretive organic abstracts and
iconic imagery (horses, figurative landscapes) inspired by a lifetime of living
in Bedford.
“I use all of my
community’s influence to create,” says Terreson. “It’s not just about the art
physically being made here, but about the lives we live here, the families we
love, the nature that surrounds us and the friends we keep.”
Terreson uses brushes, acrylics, beads, sand, and wax, even dirt. He paints with anything that comes to mind that will help create a tactile surface. The result is paintings with an extraordinary texture that draws the viewer in.
Two years ago Terreson
mounted a sell-out one-man show at Historical Hall in Bedford. This past year
he has had continued success with one-man shows at the Brennan Galleries in
Palm Desert, California, the Shanghai Art Fair in Shanghai, China, and a highly
successful follow-up show at Bedford Historical Hall, as well as 17 images
presented at the prestigious Hampton Classic horse show. In addition to his
upcoming Bellava exhibit, he is preparing for the opening of a 4-week one-man show
at the Samuel Owens Gallery in Greenwich, CT, with opening night scheduled for Thursday,
May 31st. In October
Terreson is slated for yet another one-man show to take place on prestigious
Newberry Street in Boston.
“I like thinking
outside the box,” says Terreson, “which is why I am so excited to be putting
together this ongoing show at Bellava.
It will allow me to stay connected with and be inspired by the local
Bedford scene that fuels my work.”
Being an
integral part of the Bedford-area community is important to owner Breining as
well. “We love creating a highly
personalized atmosphere at Bellava that reflects the special beauty and character
unique to this region,” she says.
Everyone who
attends will receive a goodie bag filled with vouchers for one-time-only
specials at Bellava and samples of their luxury skin care products.
Hope you
can join us!
